Blog 22 - What To Say To Reform Voters...

...and to all voters - our trading relationships and transactions in wealth and wages should be the biggest issue in politics. Yet in the UK, amongst all the opinionating about how people are treated, and the fear of a Reform government, they are never mentioned. Its all about the personal prospects of a few politicians and minor issues like 'small boats'.
If we are to get people to stop people supporting Reform because they blame innocent out-groups for their poor conditions, we need to be able to point them at those really responsible.
But we haven’t even got a name to give them. To get a name, first we need a useable name for the system of trading relationships. So it is disappointing that there have been few views of the graphic of the Business System Not Capitalism in my last Blog, 21. Because its from using that clear term for the system, that makes it visible and communicable, that we get a name for the people to blame, to point people at - the Business Class. To be able to say to working class people who say ‘Let’s give Reform a chance’ ‘Why? They are a conservative business class party who believe in those who can get rich being allowed to do so and to have no care for those who can’t. Why give them a chance to do you in deliberately? You are on one side and them on the other. Don’t vote against your own interests and the interests of the rest of the working class.’
Naming the business class also enables us to show people why Labour don’t do enough - because there is this class and they own and organise most of the economic activity and have the power to award themselves the wealth that should be spent on better treatment of the working class. And, to go back to the top of this Blog, our trading relationships and transactions with them are the most important issue. And then our relationships with them in the political system. So we need to persuade and back Labour to be firmer with them. And if they won't, a party that will, like the Greens.
Naming and blaming the business class is not declaring class war. It’s just getting clarity on the biggest issue and pointing at negotiation with the business class being the absolute priority for discussion and action, and not giving them a pass by turning on innocent out-groups.
